I am a beat fanatic and I have never been able to get past a chapter or two of Burrough's books. His character in John Holmes' Go is fantastic though.
I love my beat reader. Jack K's essay on spontanious prose is my favorite. The ticket that exploded is the only burroughs book I could read; it had some great moments. I don't think I ever finished it though.
