I have been toying with using Dimensiion Polyant's D4 sail membranes. I have heard some good things about them. D4 sails have a greater range of scrim choice combinations and are compedititatively priced. I know that bolt ropes are better fer racing, but the plastic slugs are pretty light, and it would be nice to be able to just leave the sail on the boom and be able to just raise it myself when I feel like a sail. Racing is fun, but sailing for it's own sake is as close to freedom as I have ever gotten.
