Turns out the new gull 2300 factory is in my back yard! This is a pretty interesting boat. By mutating a hobie 18 I get out of making a couple of hulls and i get the rig to boot! I think this is the perfect 1st boat project! I wanted more cabin... and like the L7 there is nothing there.. but it would be a good place to start. A fella (Oxygen Mask)on sailing anarchy designed this beauty.
Maybe the first boat build could be a hard chine ply construction with a hobie 18 donor boat. The Gull concept is a good one. It is crazy the factory is less than 30 miles away.
